Cloak of Shadows helped get rid of that nuisance if I ever ran out of cooldowns. Then she'll try to cast an ignite-esque move (Burning Flesh) that'll trigger the curse. She has about 20,000 hp and puts a nasty curse on you that causes you to take shadow damage whenever you take fire damage. She can be slowed, stunned and incapacitated, so use that to your advantage! As a 67 rogue (mutilate spec), I simply stunned and gouged constantly, sometimes walking off to gain some time for cool downs to wear off. Just be wary of other people that may try to steal the tag from you at this point! Get her to where you want her and begin attacking. She'll summon from a portal machine on the right side of the camp and walk around. Next, you'll need to summon her and this should be done with haste as you have a limited time to key all 5 obelisks. I grabbed her when she was at the entrance and all the guards were dead so it worked out well. You'll probably be moving around quite a bit. Next, make sure the area where you're going to fight is clear. There are 4 guards at the entrance and the one up by where she spawns are probably the easiest. They simply can be too much of a pain for some classes. The first tip is to ignore the guards by the Fel cannons if you're by yourself. Her casting time is pretty low, but quick reflexes will let Mind Freeze or Strangulate shut them down.įight was surprisingly quick. She can lay several DoTs on you and has at least one channeled Fire spell. My Fire absorption buff ran out pretty quick. She's also vulnerable to the fear effect of Glyph of Death and Decay, which drops her effectiveness a lot. She doesn't seem to have much armor and only about 20k HP. Rune Strike + Obliterate/Heartstrike will drop her health very quickly. I used Horn of Winter + Greater Fire Protection Potion, went into Frost Presence (for about 8,500 HP and 9,700 armor), and summoned a Ghoul for extra DPS. It also takes about 15 seconds for the obelisks to charge and summon her once you've activated the last one. It's the on the western edge of the camp. Clearing out only the mobs in the way of the obelisks still gave me plenty of room to deal with Doomcryer, with plenty of time left before respawns.ĭoomcryer actually spawns from a crystal structure, not one of the obelisks. Just bandage if you need to, then move on to the next obelisk.
Respawn time is quick, but not really a problem as long as you keep moving. Had no problem getting all 5 within a couple minutes. My gear was AH blues and quest greens so anyone could do it as long as you don't get several adds spawning on you. I didn't kite or anything, just blasted away. Smack BW on when the pet has built aggro and then just burn her down. I didn't bother with that and used a cat with Avoidance rank 2, worked fine too. She'll do some fire spells so if you want to make sure your pet lives through it train fire resistance beforehand. Wait until she's clear from the nearby mobs and pull her to you. I used the one in the lower corner close to the portal. Just pick a good spot for the last node, it really doesn't matter which one. Make sure to clear the surrounding mobs on the last one. During the fight an Anger Guard spawned but a freeze trap took care of him while I killed her. As a 68 BM hunter I was able to solo her without any hassle.
